Let’s give a bit WOOF!!! WOOF!!! and a round of a-PAWS for the winners of our latest contest.
First winner: Sara Studebaker and her Westies Pooh Bear and Tigger. Sara and her girls will be first featured in book four, BEGGING FOR TROUBLE. She’ll be opening a dog treat bakery right next door to the Joe to Go on Lexington, and once our pal Joe meets her I promise things will get interesting.
Second Winner: Arlene Millman and her three Boston Terriers, Isabella, Darby, and Corey. She’s Vivian’s older sister, and she’ll be talked about in book four, BEGGING FOR TROUBLE, and involved in MURDER in book five (no title yet).
Third winner: Connie Whipple and her grand-dog Greta, a Jack-a-Bee, you’ll meet in book five. Connie is a member of a readers’ group I spoke to in Charlotte, NC. She’s a dog lover and a very nice lady. She and my friend Elsie (talked about in book two, HEIR OF THE DOG) are concocting a plot line as you read this.
I had a fourth entry, Nadine and her dog, mini-Schnauzer Ziggy, but her entry came in just two days after Connie sent me proof of her donation. Nadine and Ziggy we be mentioned in the stories as well, and who know, may one day have a speaking part in the books as well.
So that’s the end of this contest. But keep watching here. I’ll be running something new in 2010. And keep your eyes peeled for lawyer jokes. Those winners will be mentioned in the acknowledgement section of book three.
Your pal,
Rudy
