Welcome the Rudster here. Hope you’re stayin’ comfortable during the ‘dog days of summer’. It’s been a meat roast up and down the east coast. Want to know the best way to stay cool?
Buy DEATH IN SHOW, then find yourself a poolside lounger
or a fast-running fan, or maybe park your fanny in a kiddie pool, and prepare to read a great book. Really, DEATH IN SHOW is as cool as doggie ice cream. And the murder weapon is cool too. Root for my babe, LULU, as you take our adventure and see if you can guess the killer AND THE UNUSUL MURDER WEAPON by the end of the book.
Mom and I have been chillin’ too. We’ve spent a little travel time, first in Columbus, OH, then Dallas, TX, and finally in Orlando, FL. We met a lot of her old friends, got to chat with our agent and editor, and had a pretty special time.
Right now, we’re taking a short break, then we’re heading out again. We’re selling books at the Mutt Strut in Suffolk, VA, on September 19, then on September 24, the following Friday, we’re at the Hampton Roads Writers conference, where she’s speaking. The next day, Saturday, we’ll be in Cape Charles for the Tomato Festival and that’s a big day because. . .
It’s MEET THE BICHON day. Tidewater Bichon Frise Rescue will be there with those silly white cotton balls that are lookin’ for a home. That’s where Mom found Sasha after she lost me. Oh, and she and Dad just rescued Polly, another Bichon, too.
October is Bark in the Park in Chesapeake, then we’re going to Houston, TX to work an event for the Mini-Schnauzer rescue. We’ve never done that before, so I’m lookin’ forward to it.
I hope you’re havin’ a bone-a-licious summer. After you finish DEATH IN SHOW, get ready to read BEGGING FOR TROUBLE. It’s the story of Mom and ME and Bitsy finding the killer of a cross dresser/drag queen. All I can say about that is DEATH IS A DRAG.
Talk to you soon,
The Rudster
